Step 7: Attend Pitch School
On the day of your pitching event you will be offered a place at Pitching school where we will train you on delivery of your pitch, closing and coach you one-to-one to ensure you deliver your best chance of success. If you are pitching at a Club, the Club Manager will coach you individually.
Step 8: Pitch at an event
Success is now all down to you. A great business plan, a good pitch, a polite and friendly introduction to each Angel and you are away. Exhausting and exhilarating, most entrepreneurs leave buzzing with excitement and clutching a handful of business cards for follow up the next morning.
Step 9: Follow up Meetings & Due Diligence
Now the fun really begins! Have meetings to discuss what the interested Angels can add and answer any questions they may have about your Business, to help them decide how much to invest. Your Regional Manager will also link you up with Angel(s) who didn't attend on the night but may be interested in your business.
Step 10: Agree Funding and Draw up Shareholders Agreement
Once the Due Diligence is complete and you have agreed how much the Angel(s) will invest for what share, you need to draw up a Shareholder Agreement. In the UK our partner Edwards Wildman can provide a user-friendly Term Sheet, for you and the Angel(s) to complete, and enact this into an agreement at no cost to you or the Angel(s).
