I have pitched my business for investment at an Angels Den investors club and to two other similar angels networks. My experience of Angels Den has been fantastic, the events are incredibly professionally run, but with a down to earth human touch to make it as stress free as possible. The pitching scenario seemed spot on in terms of presentation length, investors being pitched to, room size and Q&A time. Definitely a worthwhile experience irrespective of whether or not we are successful receiving inward investment. Not only are we impressed with the concept of Angel's Den, but in the manner of the professionalism and support afforded to all the entrepreneurs throughout. The atmosphere made for a great evening which we thoroughly enjoyed and at no stage did it feel overwhelming or high powered, and to the contrary we felt very much at ease. Angels Den provides an important service for any start-up - instant access to interested investors. Two things stand out for us - the quality of investors and the support of the Angels Den team. The quality of investors we've met has been excellent. We're in the middle of talks with two, and even though we obviously would like to secure funding, even if that doesn't happen I have to say the process so far has been worth the money, because of the quality of the input from investors and the invaluable experience we've had of pitching and receving feedback. Our SpeedFunding experience was a revelation - it was exhausting but the most productive hour and a half of our little start-up's life so far. The Angels Den team have been extremely helpful and supportive throughout. Although it's high-tech, this is not just an automated service with no human face - there's a high personal input from the team which is always on hand with advice.

Because the service is keenly priced entrepreneurs who are at the "ideas" stage are not inhibited from participating.This puts them ahead of organisations which require expensive preliminary preparation. With Angels Den you know that you have to do your own due diligence so you judge those looking for funding accordingly. It's a great system,no wonder it is growing rapidly.

At first I felt a bit reluctant to pay the fee to register my business plan as finance was very tight for my start-up business. I paid in August and by November I was in front of a room full of Angels pitching my business plan. We now have an angel on board and their guidance and strategic planning has so far proved priceless and as if that's not enough they are also putting in a large cash investment. Thanks Angels Den :)
