BAGGL LTD - Investment Opportunity

baggl is an online marketplace where businesses and freelancers can trade unsold or surplus products and services using a combination of barter and cash. They use AI to help identify supply and demand, seasonality, and to intuitively pair buyers/sellers with one another, as well as attract new members to the platform. Since the perfect barter seldom happens e.g. a member has an apple, but wants a pear and vice versa, the blockchain ledger system allows members to buy and sell at their convenience using Trade Credits. This means a member can sell an apple to a pear farmer, but instead of buying a pear, they can save their Trade Credits to buy a mobile app from a web developer later on

INTERVIEW

THE IDEA
Products & Services

Baggl allows members to create listings to buy or sell products and services, set target budget or sale price, and also their desired barter vs. cash ratio e.g. 50% Trade Credits and 50% cash. Other members can then respond and begin negotiating from behind partially concealed profiles, until two parties arrive at the perfect deal. They use profile data e.g. products or services offered/required, and also general activity, search history etc. to automatically notify members when relevant listings have been added. Members can also search for specific products and services at profile level and request quotations directly. Subscription and auction listings will be introduced later in the year.

Problem Solved

Large corporations, SMEs, sole traders and even freelancers all face similar challenges, albeit on different scales e.g. slow-moving stock and excess inventory, or unsold services and spare capacity. This has a negative impact on cashflow, as funds are tied-up in assets or get spent of fixed costs such as salaries and other overheads which fail to return a yield. By trading their products and services through baggl, users have a different route to market, where they can find new customers without cannibalising existing revenues, boost sales, and also reduce their cash expenditure by accruing Trade Credits to buy the resources they need for their business or project and at their convenience.

Revenue Model

They have three core revenue earners: 1) Transaction Fees: Sellers are charged: Cash @ 7% & Trade Credits @ 3% on each transaction. 2) Membership Fees: Premium service fees from YR 2 onwards: £20-250 PCM, Per Member. 3) Promoted Listings: Members can promote their listings for between £10-£300. In addition to this our blockchain ledger system, which uses their own public utility token BGGL, will gradually increase in value each time users’ complete transactions. Baggl's treasury was capitalised with 10 billion 'Trade Credits', meaning it would be worth £100m if the independent market valued our token for as little as £0.01. Similar tokens in the market are valued at $7.00+
