OnCare is a software platform for social care, that makes care easier for care workers, care agencies, clients, and their families. What makes it unique is their approach to growing from a SAAS business into a care marketplace by first building trust with existing care providers, and then enabling tools for families to connect with them. OnCare has been in the market since June 2017 but have already run 4 pilots, have 3 paying care agency customers, two more large scale pilots forthcoming, and a growing pipeline of interested care providers.

THE IDEA
Products & Services

OnCare app (iOS and Android) for care workers: enables care workers to report on their client visits through their smartphone, instead of having to deal with large amounts of paperwork.

OnCare web platform for care agencies: enables care agencies to manage all users, view all care visit reports as they come in, and generate insights from these reports to help run the business more effectively.

OnCare web platform for family members: families of clients can stay in touch with their loved one's care through SMS updates and a secure login to view care workers reports.

Problem Solved

Care workers can spend less time on paperwork and more time delivering amazing quality care. They can capture more information in less time than pen and paper, and avoid issues with English language, or handover to other colleagues.

Care agencies save thousands of pounds each year by avoiding the need to distribute, collect and archive large amounts of paper, and get a live view of all of their clients and care workers across the business.

Families stay closer to their loved ones' care through text message updates, and can have better conversations with their loved ones safe in the knowledge that the care is being handled properly.

Revenue Model

The revenue model sees OnCare actively making low revenues as a SAAS business while they seed their software into care agencies across the UK. They then switch to a SAAS + commission model by taking a cut of care hours delivered via the OnCare platform. In exchange for this commission, care agencies receive a suite of new tools to help them run their businesses more effectively and a stream of new customers.
