Thyngs makes real world experiences even more engaging, rewarding and memorable through quickly and simply connecting them to people’s digital mobile lives. Any marketer can use the Thyngs platform to transform their existing promotional objects into thyngs so other people can easily interact with them via their smartphones. Thyngs provides a complete ecosystem of cost-effective products & services for non-technical marketing people. Thyngs was founded in March 2016 and has already deployed ground-breaking services in the charitable, events and entertainment sectors.

THE IDEA
Products & Services

Thyngs is at its heart a SAAS platform for managing the link between physical objects ('thyngs') and mobile smartphone experiences. Thyngs provides standard pre-configured hardware 'styckers' to attach to existing physical objects supporting short-URL code, QR code, and NFC interaction. Bluetooth Beacon interaction and footfall monitoring is supported via custom ‘Pyngers.' For the charity sector, Thyngs provide a full packaged solution to collect cashless donations with support for digital wallets like Apple Pay enabling gift-aid donations in 15-20 seconds. Thyngs recently delivered the largest global NFC wearable campaign with 240,000 thyngs for a major Movie Release.

Problem Solved

Thyngs enables traditional off-line media like print, out-of-home and face-to-face events to be managed digitally via consumers own smartphones. Technologies exist in smartphones like camera for image recognition, NFC, Bluetooth and GPS that can be used to trigger experiences on smartphones via scanning, tapping or just passing Thyngs-enabled objects ('thyngs'). Our platforms and technologies make it very easy for non-technical marketing people to add them to their marketing mix and engage with their audience digitally in physical locations. For the charity sector, Thyngs’ unique end-end service for enables cashless donations from traditional fund raising items, like charity tins.

Revenue Model

At its heart, Thyngs is a SAAS platform that charges based on active thyngs, usage, targeted proximity messaging and additional account features. Currently, Thyngs makes a margin on proprietary hardware that enables services on the platform. For the Charity sector, the model is to charge a fee to cover costs of enabling the object plus a 2.5% transaction fee, effectively taken from the extra Gift Aid. Other sectors are being enabled through key partnerships, and revenue model will be tailored to the existing pricing for specific industry sectors.
