TORSION INFO SECURITY

TORSION prevents insider security breaches & simplifies compliance, by precisely controlling & validating access to information. We aim to be a global leader in Data Access Governance, by bringing disruptive innovation to old problems in new ways. We are revenue generating, with an experienced team, and a strong track record of execution. Our founder is a former consultant, specialist in Secure Information Management. After years of his clients struggling to accurately control access to sensitive information, he finally had the innovative new idea which truly solved the problem. After two years spent prototyping, validating, engineering and testing, it was finally ready for customers.

THE IDEA
Products & Services

TORSION is a cloud-based SaaS solution, which connects to the systems our customers already use for managing information, e.g. Office 365, Drive.

It automatically and precisely controls access to information, to control security risks. And it validates who has access to what, and why they have it, to simplify regulatory compliance, e.g. GDPR, ISO27001.

Using AI, TORSION constantly determines who is working on what, who needs access to which files, and who has access they shouldn't have. Seamlessly engaging the business users, to proactively prevent vulnerabilities.

With minimal human intervention, TORSION precisely controls information access, at massive scale, in real time.

Problem Solved

Severe security and compliance challenges are caused when staff have inappropriate access to information. This is the root cause of many catastrophic security breaches, and a major driver of compliance costs. Convergent trends have been rapidly accelerating these risks in recent years.

Existing tools for managing access within large collections of documents and files – are very technical, manual and ineffective. So much so, that 70% of staff have inappropriate access to information.

And 89% of companies suffer an information security breach every month, which was caused by a staff member.

TORSION is an effective, turnkey solution for the modern, highly dynamic business environment.

Revenue Model

TORSION operates a SaaS business model. We charge a recurring upfront annual or monthly fee, based on the number of staff members who work for a customer organisation, and we incentivise longer subscriptions.

We offer Standard, Premium or Enterprise subscriptions, to suit different levels of company size and complexity. We encourage increased customer spend by limiting premium features to higher subscription values.

The model is designed to be scalable at lower subscription values, and flexible at higher subscription values. The business value we create grows exponentially with customer size.

Our sales efforts focus on supporting partners, which drive new customer opportunities.

Exit Strategy

We will exit by acquisition within 3-5 years, into a highly active M&A landscape. We are complementary to the product portfolio of large IT players such as Microsoft, SailPoint and IBM.

Our strategic plan is to prepare our technology, operations and marketing to scale rapidly, including establishing a strong presence in both the US and UK. As the market focus on the risks addressed by Data Access Governance solutions reaches an expected tipping point as its driving trends continue to accelerate and converge - we will pivot our focus from expansion to profit. This will begin in mid-2020, at which point we will be perfectly positioned to generate a substantial exit valuation of around £100m

Minimum Target £ 100,000 Maximum Target £ 350,025 Minimum investment amount £ 5,000 Maximum investment amount £ 150,000
