Nutrifiz, the makers of the world’s first effervescent wheatgrass tablet have landed a nationwide contract with Asda, after attracting the attention of supermarket CEO Andy Clarke. Nutrifiz raised £100,000 with Angels Den back in 2014 and we are extremely pleased to see them making great strides.
Nutrifiz was created to bring convenience to getting and staying healthy by giving your body all the nutrition it needs. Founder Hastie states, ''Wheatgrass powders can be expensive, messy and taste horrible. Wheatgrass capsules often contain animal products in the capsules. So we at Nutrifiz got to work to create a convenient and great tasting solution.''
With recommendations by Mr.Clarke, Nutrifiz has now focused their attention onto kids' nutrition, as it is a rapidly growing and underserved market. Nutrifiz have now formulated a version of their product for childen up to 11 years old and will be launching in 337 Asda stores next week.
Bill Morrow, CEO Angels Den: ''Nutrifiz is the perfect example of how mentors with experience can elevate a company to the next level. Creating a team around you that can bring the relevant skills and expertise is an invaluable asset and is something I would encourage all entrepreneurs to do''
Nutrifiz tablets are also sold in Holland & Barrett and company is hoping to land further high-street deals, and will launch follow-up products in the sports fitness and hair, skin and nails sectors.
