Nourish'd is the corporate catering company with a mission to inspire a generation to live healthier, happier and more productive lives. They offer nutritious food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and meetings with a positive social impact. Fuelling employees with delicious, low GI food is key to boosting productivity and happiness in the workplace. Nourish'd provides this through an easy, straightforward service and amazing food that brings people together and encourages a positive, communal work environment.

THE IDEA
Products & Services

Nourish’d offers corporate catering for breakfast, lunch, dinner and meetings. They provide rotating weekly menus with innovative recipes designed alongside a nutritionist to be nutrient dense with a low glycaemic index. Their food comes individually boxed or as communal feasts depending on the client’s needs and they have options to suit all dietary requirements. Nourish'd has a hassle-free ordering system that allows for employees to log on individually and order for themselves or for one person to set up an order for the entire office. They produce the food themselves and then deliver it from their central kitchen at a time convenient for the client.

Problem Solved

Nourish'd is the corporate catering initiative that aims to change work culture through food. Big companies often have work environments that do not promote healthy, happy people. Current catering options often consist of stodgy sandwiches and sugary snacks that do little to fuel people's workdays. Poor health costs businesses up to 22% in output per person each year and therefore, they believe that companies have a responsibility to invest in their employee's wellness. Nourish'd aims to encourage this through their sustainable, nutritious, low GI, energy-boosting food. Their innovative meals aim to nourish and indulge staff to help build a healthier, happier and more productive company.

Revenue Model

The meals are priced at £7.50 a head, with a gross margin of 55% per meal. The average client orders 40 meals a week and generates £15,000 revenue per year, giving a gross margin per client of £8,250 a year. They currently have 7 clients that are worth £120k in revenue. The focus is to target SMEs (businesses with 15-200 people) and their target is to have 80 recurring weekly clients within 12 months. Larger contracts with bigger companies will be pursued as well, although they have not been modelled. These require a longer sales cycle but have stronger contacts, great revenue and a longer lifetime.
