Problem Solved
For patrons, commissioning art through galleries is inefficient and opaque, with only a small selection of artists to choose from. Social media platforms, while offering glimpses of artistic talent, fail to provide comprehensive artist discovery and comparison on style/price, nor provide secure and protected transactions.
Artists struggle to find buyers and generate consistent income, often having little assurance/insurance of prospective buyers’ legitimacy. Many are forced to sell/commission works through galleries that charge ~50% fees.

Revenue Model
Otterkin is free-to-access for users, but takes fees on every transaction, detailed below.
Fee taken from artists: 17.5% per sale
Patron service fee: 3.5% levy per transaction
Stripe Fee (1.5% + 20p) per transaction
