Sorair Technologies is a VC-backed surveillance company that helps Industrial/security companies save on security labour costs while enhancing operations by providing drone automation software for security. It connects with sensors, cameras & autonomous vehicles/drones enabling them to work together autonomously without human intervention to monitor complex industrial sites by automating patrols, detection of threats and incident response procedures. Traction: Launched in May 2025, recieved UK-wide CAA approval for BVLOS drone surveillance operations. Sent out 5 contracts awaiting signature representing £150,000 in revenue. Conducting a 1-month trial on a Wincanton warehouse
Our intergated platform as a service (IPAAS) provides customers with the ability to customise their security provisions; the Soranet is a hardware agnostic platform that mainly uses drones to enhance security operations. On top of our software we can integrate, cameras, lidar and radar technologies for real-time site activity tracking and proviing triggers for our drones to respond to.
Our hardware agnostic platform means we can eventually have many integrated hardware technologies within our 'suite of provisions' that we serve to customers.
Sorair specialises in developing the integrated IOT software layer for security devices, plus AI detection algorithms.
CCTV blindspots are often exploited by criminals, which means companies do not have adequate surveillance coverage of their site leading to unsuccessful insurance claims and open police cases.
Security staff are getting extremely expensive to hire.
Security companies are making less than 6-8% margins on their security guarding.
For security guards across large industrial sites it can take them 20-40 minutes sometimes to reach one side of the site to the other to respond to incidents/alarm triggers which is insufficient for critical response times
We firstly charge a one-off installation fee for the setup, per site. (On average the price is £5,500 excl VAT)
Afterwards we charge subscription fees to customers giving them access to our CAA-approved drone automation software, operations manuals and risk assessments for BVLOS drone surveillance operations. We do not manufacture any hardware in-house, so we either provide hardware as:
- OPEX cost - Resell the hardware at margin, combined with the software and compliance billed as a monthly or annual subscription.
- CAPEX cost - We act as a reseller of hardware billing customers for the RP of the hardware with less margin. Followed by subsequent subscriptions.
