LUX provides superior value than other reward schemes, enabling users to earn up to 7.5% of their spend back in points. These points can be redeemed on over 100 in-restaurant rewards, luxury experiences, gifts and charity donations. LUX partners directly with corporates, predominantly in the professional services sector, and offers LUX as a free employee benefit. At no cost to them or their employees, a unique referral code is shared around the office, gifting their staff £5 worth of points.

The LUX rewards scheme is facilitated through a free mobile app, that is available on iOS and Android. The app helps users to:
1. discover restaurants and bars nearby
2. collect reward points by photographing their receipts
3. purchase luxury rewards using their points

Gaining user feedback and continuously iterating upon the app is essential. Key features on the roadmap are OCR receipt scanning, AI-powered fraud detection and booking integration.

The LUX app was created by our development partners, Rocketmakers. A close partnership was formed from the very beginning with them and they have a vested interest in our success as they own shares in LUX.

The restaurant promotion market is dominated by discount schemes that devalue their brand and attract price savvy diners. LUX provides a viable alternative for high-quality restaurants and bars; a cost-effective marketing tool that helps them to attract high spenders and incentivise repeat visits amongst white-collared clientele.

Hotels, airlines and credit cards all have reward schemes to attract and retain affluent and corporate consumers. Despite a significant proportion of corporate expenses being allocated to restaurant and bars, employees are unable to collect points for this. LUX caters for professionals with client-friendly venues, a premium brand and a generous rewards scheme.

Revenue Model

LUX generates revenue by charging commission on the total bill amount to venues. These restaurants and bars can choose a commission rate of 5%, 10% or 15%. A higher commission translates to double or triple points for the user (boosts) therefore increasing the likelihood of the user becoming a loyal customer. The venue also features higher up in the app, increasing visibility. This commission is flexible by day of week and time of day for their venue, and we see an average of 11.8% charged per transaction.

Their revenue potential can be considerable, as we have the potential to take hundreds of pounds in commission from a single transaction. For example, a £3000 bill could earn LUX £450.
