UNTIED - Investment Opportunity

They are a "challenger tax" leader, positioned to disrupt and transform. They already have early strong partnerships, a solid team of accountants and specialists in automation and subscription software who have launched and sold businesses together before and strong advisors including from Treasury. Backed by Accenture's Fintech Innovation Lab (chosen by banks to take part and showcase), and Barclays Techstars, untied is also the winner of Israel's biggest fintech prize at Fintech Junction (beating 60 international entrants, 7 finalists) - frst overseas winner.

THE IDEA
Products & Services

untied is a groundbreaking app that takes care of stuff automatically that people used to worry about. Gathering information, claiming costs and allowances, preparing filings on the go which can be sent straight to the tax authority from the app. The user is always always in control: keeping to the rules and reducing you tax bill by being an expert in you, not an expert in taxes.

The app connects across existing accounts, making tax sense of transactions, and gives the assurance someone needs.

In due course the app will be targeted more closely to suit different user groups.

Problem Solved

Taxes are a hassle. 12m people file in the UK: half are self employed including freelancers and gig economy workers, and half are on higher salaries. We spend 100m hours a year working out our tax bills which at £268bn are our largest category of household spend.
Meanwhile banks want more services on the back of open banking. Accountants face a seasonal rush, and often it costs them more to support personal tax clients than they charge.

The tax authority is also under seasonal pressure.

Revenue Model

B2B2C subscription with banks as partners, where untied receives revenue from both the end user and the partner
B2C subscription too which acts as a sandbox for early adopter users
